From the Desk of Mr Twenty Twenty

Thursday, April 21, 2012

“Anchoring is one of those NLP skills that at first seems mysterious, and sometimes is challenging to learn.

You do want to get great at state elicitation and anchoring, because those skills are very rewarding, they are almost invisible, and are very fun to play with.”

If you incorporate the following 7 Secrets of Powerful Anchoring into your skillset, you’ll be surprised at how Fast your skills can become.

And get The Ultimate Persuasion Package:

More than 23 disks of Solid Gold!
That you can Instantly Download Today!

1. Become GREAT at eliciting states. Don’t just hope and wait for the desired state to show up. Become great at eliciting states by asking questions for example. “What do you love most about dancing?” Telling stories can be great for eliciting states too. Just ask anyone who comes to our workshops how fun and valuable storytelling can be.

2. Monkey Around! Get great at instantly becoming the state you want to elicit and anchor. It’s tough to elicit a state you can’t get into. Years ago when teaching Milton Erickson’s Handshake Induction I made sure course participants understood, you can’t put someone into deep fast trance, unless you can get there yourself. Make sure if you want to elicit and then anchor excitement for example, that you are also entering into the “excitement” state yourself.

3. Just do it. Too many NLP enthusiasts wait too long to anchor. If you see them heading into the state you want them in, set your anchor. If you wait to long you will probably anchor them LEAVING that state. That makes your anchor pretty much useless, and keeps you confused. Remember, Just do it.

4. Forget anchoring. Just practice and play with eliciting states in people for the next 14 days. Too many people skip this vital phase, and get caught up on anchoring and testing their anchor, because anchoring is the “sexy” part of the skill.

5. Learn how to generate “the good stuff” in you first. Become the kind of person who LIVES in the states you want in others. Become that curious, excited, strong, motivated man. Then when you want to elicit these states in others and install anchors, you will be able to do so easily. It’s funny watching the couch potato try to install excitement and motivation in others.

6. Keep it simple. All you have to to is Elicit, Notice, Anchor. Too many people complicate it up. Keep it simple Buckwheat.

7. Keep learning. Don’t EVER assume you have mastered your skills. I constantly play with new ways of doing things, and I constantly expose myself… to other trainers who are masters of their trades so I can learn from them. In other words, get to seminars, buy products, and play like a mad man.

Thanks for Playing!

Mr Twenty Twenty

Get the Ultimate Persuasion Package! Instantly download 23 plus disks for pennies on the dollar!

Hey mate,

BUCKLE UP! IF YOU READ THIS, PREPARE TO GET YOUR SOCKS KNOCKED OFF!

“I can’t believe how much fun I had learning Milton Erickson’s language patterns and tons more in your Fake Psychic Crash Course! You made it fun, interesting, and the most effective training in hypnotic covert language ever!”

Back in 2005 the NLP, Hypnosis AND a few PSYCHIC groups went wild about my Fake Psychic 5 CD package. (At the end of this article is a MASSIVE LIST of what’s inside. Whoooyah!)

I made all kinds of outrageous claims (which were true), bragged a bunch about spending a summer with some beautiful and talented “fake psychics” (which was very fun), and got a number of letters from “real psychics” telling me that there would be hell to pay (so far – so good – teaching the best of Milton while exposing fake psychics – sounds perfect to me).

Look, let’s get REAL! I first studied Milton Erickson over 20 years ago, when I was doing a very specialized training in Interview and Interrogation. Think about this, if you are going to go head to head with sociopaths, perverts, murderers, even the occasional redneck gangster, you better be able to use language in a very powerful and precise way. Nuff said.

That 7 day training set the stage to be able to spot the difference between real psychics, which are relatively rare, and fake psychics – which either intentionally or unknowingly are using MEGATONS of loaded Milton Model language patterns.

So as a bonus, I got to spend a summer enjoying the company of some very beautiful and interesting women… studying EXACTLY how they used Hypnotic Language….

And a few years later, we put together a 5 cd package, THIS PACKAGE. Like I said, it really upset some “psychics”, confused some of the more RIGID AND INFLEXIBLE NLP EXPERTS (mostly dweebs who even admitted in public forums to having never studyed with a qualified trainer – and who stole my stuff from file sharing sites – but that’s another story. Enjoy your karma buckwheat.)

ONWARD!

So….

This week, I get 3 emails (3 is the magic number here) from people who are asking me where they can buy these old cd’s from 2005. I had Carol look around, looks like I let the site go down, and we are out of cd’s…. so….

The next best thing is to tell them where to go download them. And if I am going to set up a download page for them, you might as well get on board too!

If you want to REALLY LEARN AND ENJOY the best ol Milton had to offer, and get EXACTLY HOW my fake psychic girl friends used them… then download these 5 cd’s INSTANTLY TODAY

CLICK HERE NOW – FOR THE BEST DEAL EVER ON THIS 5 CD DOWNLOAD!

NOTE:I am putting them up for THE NEXT 7 DAYS – then I am pulling them again. You’ll read why in a moment.

If you CLICK HERE – I SUSPECT YOU WILL BE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!

Why put these up for the next SEVEN days only?

Three reasons.

First, look, you know it’s a sales tactic. If I leave them up forever, you will come back in 3 years, and looking for the same deal… if you remember come back.

Second, if I left it up forever, then over the next month or two, SOME folks will seek out some scum site to download them for free, and still others will scour the video sites to find something else free to learn from…

So I build in a little urgency. Get them TODAY!

And three, I limit my time to answering questions about “fake psychic stuff” for the next seven days. People love to email and ask questions. I enjoy answering them. But I really want to just toss this out, get a bunch of people – new and old – actually using these outrageous recordings, and just kick some ass with them.

And I’m gonna take a few bucks, so I can surprise Carol with a couple boxes of 38 Special Ammo. She loves combat handgunning. She almost loves cleaning the combat handgun. I get to help out there.

So that’s the deal.

Click here to download all 5 Fake Psychic CD’S TODAY!

The original price for the Fake Psychic Crash Course was $97 bucks – You are going to be shocked at how well off you are getting these.

Have fun!

Your friend,

Hey mate,

If you are like most NLP / Persuasion guys, you’ll notice that your anchoring sucks.

(It’s all because you are unconsciously looking for something you don’t need – to anchor – because you learned anchoring classroom style. You’ll see how this is like The Karate Kid in just a moment.)

Maybe you too noticed learning how to effectively anchor was tough. Seems like you had to get something out of the way.

Or maybe you notice that you still aren’t “as fast” or “as good” as the masters. It’s like you are waiting for something to happen, instead of just HITTING THEM.

All you want is to get the results you were promised.

So let’s dive in, transform your anchoring, and show you why my life training at the mall works, and why it’s so much darn fun!

“I just HAVE to tell you that since we did that weird one on one trainingat the mall, my entire life changed, not just the skills I wanted to work on, EVERYTHING SHIFTED. You are right that….”

So let’s transform your anchoring.

When I found my best kung fu teacher, he spent the first 17 weeks of training with me just hitting me, and expecting me to hit him back. I found that frustrating.

At some critical point, it all shifted, because I stopped needing to square up to defend my self. That saved my life, when I was taken hostage in the Camp Hill Prison Riots. More about that some other time.

You don’t need to set up, or square up for anchoring. You might THINK you know this, but what are you experiencing and expecting – unconsciously?

Because I was used to sparring, you know, when you “put em up” and then go at it. And I was used to sticky hands, where you and your partner touch hands, and then go at it.
In real life, you don’t put them up to fight. You HIT.

In real life, you don’t “get permission”, consciously or unconsciously, before anchoring.

Watch me when I train at the mall… I don’t get permission, I just go get results. It’s fun, funny and fast!

And if you watch how anchoring is taught on you tube, which is where all the “masters” now are putting up their stuff, you’ll see that it’s taught by consent, practiced with consent, and… held back by consent. All semi unconscious at best.

LOOK FOR THIS! YOU WILL SEE IT PLAIN AS DAY!

On youtube, you can actually watch, an UNCONSCIOUS consenting between the classroom nlp trainer and the student, it is so obvious because it looks just like 2 karate students squaring up to spar, think karate kid. Tiny little nods and shifts and “ready” signals… all unconscious.

Looking for these signals is what holds over 70% of frustrated NLPer’s back!

And if you learn anchoring like this, in the class room , with the unconscious consent needed, you will be looking for that unconsciously for validation, when you try to use your classroom skills in the real world.

That’s why I do LIVE MALL TRAININGS throughout the year. Both private or group. Training in REAL LIFE with REAL PEOPLE gives you REAL strengths and skills.

Not just classroom.

And that’s why Live Mall Trainings work. Because if you learn and explore your skills live, with guidance, and fun, and with real people, in the real world, for some reason, your results will be OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Mr Twenty Twenty

PS: I have a only a few slots left for 4 hour private MALL trainings when I am in Austin Texas next month. Those 4 hour trainings will transform your world, activate your potential, and bring a laser like focus to your skills. They are just $400 each. That’s less than what you spent on all those videos, etc that got you frustrated….

(One bloke got all wound up, saying that’s $100 per hour.) My response is, and???? Most group trainings are close to that, if they are decent! Argh! He’s afraid to give. Ask around, think about how awesome this is. You get one on one training. Sometimes we hang out afterwards, maybe head to a coffee shop or bar, maybe hook up with some of my other Inner Circle guys…. It actually seems to turn into something much more interesting and life changing…. and fun. That’s why 85% of the Live Training Guys come back for more!

Why is it that some people can read Tim Ferriss (The Four Hour Work Week) and change their lives with what he shares, and why is it that MOST people who read his book, never are able to apply the strategies that he uses and shares.

There are two secrets to REALLY GETTING what Tim shares in the book:

SECRET #1: The closer your way of thinking is to his (thinking defined as “how you generate thoughts) – the easier and more completely you will be able to integrate his ideas and thoughts into your life.

You need BOTH how he thinks and WHAT he thinks. HOW He thinks, generates WHAT he thinks. What’s cool, once you are aware of precisely HOW he thinks, YOU can develop THAT WAY OF THINKING.

In the Tim Ferriss mind hack videos, you’ll get an expert modeler’s view into the mind of the man who generated the Four Hour Work Week.

Secret #2. To “get Tim Ferriss” you have to let HOW HE PERCEIVES the world RUB off on you.

This is related to “how he thinks”. You’ll see the difference when you get to the video on Motivation and The Timothy Ferris Mind Hack Summary. Those will be in my next post. I’ll be writing more about that in the future, but for now, enjoy the Tim Ferris Mind Hack Videos.

Enjoy, vote, leave comments, and if you want “the notes”, AND notifications of more Mind Hacks – register for our newsletter here AND

Many problems I have found with NLP coaching clients come down to an excessive “sense of self” combined with a need for “external validation”.

“Notice the difference between the first half of each sentence below and the second half. The first half has less focus on “the ego” and more on a quality. The second half is more ego centric.”

There is a difference between a talk that is intelligent, and someone trying to sound intelligent.

There is a difference between someone being kind, and someone appearing to do kind things.

There is a difference between brilliance and an attempt by someone at being clever.

With one, there is intelligence, kindness and brilliance.

With the other, there is ego and maybe what follows ego.

One is very attractive. The other is seductive and repelling both.

Learning to distinguish between the two is priceless, and quite a useful distinction.

Here are three things you can to to “get over” the ego.

1. At the end of the day, take time to quietly reflect on your thoughts. Notice how much “sense of self” was involved in both thinking and in activities.

2. Do this little exercise inside your mind. Make a picture of your car. Put you in it. Take you out of it. Make a picture of your kitchen. Put you in it. Take you out it. Make a picture of your oven. Put you in it. Take you out of it. - Get creative with this one.

3. Notice if you have a preference when you spontaneously make images during the day – are you in your images or not? Notice how this changes over time.

These tiny little exercises loosen up how you represent “you” inside your mind. There are plenty more of these that you’ll find in our recordings, or that we will spontaneously develop during a training or a coaching – consulting call.

Hello,

Take a moment and just try this on!

Imagine how much your friends, family and even your pet iguana would rejoice if you would…

… just ask yourself these three tiny questions.

“Does IT – lighten up when you walk into the room?”

“Do THEY – lighten up when you walk into the room?”

“Do YOU – lighten up when you walk into the room?”

Or when you walk into a room… do you or do they hold the breath, for just a second.

“People tend to hold their breath, for just a second, while they check out from reality (their senses), and start listening to something inside (some fantasy voice). In other words, they die inside.”

In case you didn’t notice, it’s the auditory (sounds, voices, judgements, unresolved thoughts) inside your head that hold you back - This costs you buckos, kills your brillance, and prevents you from connecting more completely and authentically with people – including beautiful women – around you.

Here is the good news, there is nothing you can do. There is NOTHING you NEED to do. (Except for just one tiny thing… )

There is an art to showing up more in life, and here is the key. Work with someone who will not reinforce you checking out. Work with someone who has the skills to invite you to check back in and stay checked in to what is REAL longer. Trips inside your mind are dangerous, and they cost you big time. It’s time to put an end to how often you do that.

Here’s the good news. It just might shake you up, so hold on.

“Nothing is your fault, everything the fault of incomplete faulty programming. (Just try this on, and also notice why you probably resist this thought, even though it is possibly the most liberating thought you have ever heard.)”

Because when it all comes down to it, programming it began as a child. The mind has been getting programmed, and the body conditioned, ever since you took your first breath. Maybe earlier. All without permission, consent, resistance.

Those only came up later, after sufficient programming and conditioning about “permission, consent and resistance”.

“So quit beating yourself up over stuff your programming has done.”

Because if you have learned ANYTHING so far it is this:

The programming is constantly being updated. The question I have about the programming is this:

“Is the programming being updated and UPGRADED as well?”

You’ll know if the programming is being upgraded, if you start beating yourself up less, and simply being yourself more.

You’ll know if the programming is being upgraded, if your life simply grows and evolves in a more positive, able and giving direction.

You’ll know if the programming is being upgraded, if you let go of the indulgences of guilt and pride, and simple allow yourself to act as greatly as you possibly can.

Because once you stop, and notice, that programming has run your entire life, you start to get beyond “the program” and start being able to give and be given to.

I got this in the email 2 weeks ago. You are gonna be surprised at how it all worked out.

“Please help me, before I got promoted to management, I imagined being a manage a manager would solve all my problems at work. I imagined that I could get the employees to obey orders like robots. Now I am trying to use anchoring, state elicitation, rapport and my other skills to get them to form an image of me being a good leader in their minds. I am finding all my new responsibilities very stressful and I don’t know what to do.”

Here’s the problem. Jimmy got his promotion, because he used his “NLP SKILLS” to make it impossible for the boss to resist giving him the promotion. In other words, Jimmy engineered his way into a job that he can’t handle, and doesn’t deserve.

He should have spent his time using some gold old fashioned NLP to CHANGE HIS LIFE, instead of using it to manipulate others.

Jimmy, here’s the deal. Now you can choose to develop the strategies – the inner game - you need to succeed. Now you can choose to develop the communication skills you need to be a good boss, maybe even the best boss ever. Now you can choose to PRODUCE CHANGE within yourself, instead of MODIFYING OTHER PEOPLES THINKING, to get your own way.

Note: I actually got in Jimmy’s face last Wednesday, on his first coaching call. He needed that, he wanted that. He knew, that it was time for him to use HIS NLP to grow, so he could really give to the company, and give to the people in his life, instead of tricking them so he could take.

Note: Jimmy just had his second coaching call with me today. He’s put up over $2,000 of NLP crap on Ebay, to pay for a 10 week intense coaching training with me. Why? Because at some point, we all get to the point where growing and growing up makes sense.

“Jimmy came to me he says because he needed coaching and mentoring that would challenge him, and help him get results. That’s the same reasons why I went to the elders and the mentors I trained with, and it makes all the differrence.”

So why do people hate NLP and NLPERS? Could it be that most of the attention NLP gets now days is from folks who want to use it like Jimmy did?

Think about it.

Look, 2010 is right around the corner. What are you going to do differently?

It’s time!

She was an attractive girl, one who was used to jerks hitting on her.

I was sitting there, I watched her move from across the room, and I knew that I wanted to talk with her. She looked interesting, energetic, alive.

So I walked past her, up to the counter, to get another cup of coffee, I glanced over at her, relaxed, focused my gaze on her, and immediately I noticed her neclace.

“Hi, I’ve been admiring your necklace from across the room, did you make it?”

She looked at me, saw that I was sincere, and then we started talking.

In the next 25 minutes, I learned that she bought it on a trip to Virginia Beach, and that she goes there 2 times a year. Once with her friends, once with her family.

We talked until she had to get back to work, she would have given me her number if I had asked, she hinted several times, and she said she hoped that we would bump into each other again. We did, I introduced her to Carol, and she became a friend of ours.

“All of the good ones are taken.”

So why did she open up like that? I didn’t “NLP” or “seduce” her.

How to easily and naturally get rapport.

“When you meet someone, keep in mind that you meet their heart, their body, their mind.”

I tied all three of those together. I gave her a genuine compliment, asked a question I wanted the answer to, and centered it all around something SPECIFIC about her. This something specific could be about a thing she has or activity she does.

Compliment = heart.

Question = mind.

Necklace = body.

You can use this “method” to meet just about anyone, and if you are genuine with it, you can get invited deep into their world.

Have fun,
