Are you ready to conquer your will power problem once and for all?
Okay, here goes. There are Three Wills.
It’s an old Medicine Wheel teaching. Get the three centers or the three levels of will we explore today.
The first will is, “Will he or will she?”
“Will he buy my product?” “Will she give me her phone number?”
If you put the power to feel happy outside of you using “will he or will she” you will suffer. Feel good and tack action using….
“The Second Will is Will Power.”
“Most people struggle with will power because of a few common misconceptions. We’ll explore them below.”
The concept of Will Power requires that you focus, fight, struggle to get something done. Trying to use the concept of will power to run your life is not that effective. Keep reading and you’ll learn a great alternative.
Now, I’ll be honest, I have a goal to be at 210 pounds (that’s just 13 pounds away) by the time we see Pay O’Bryan and Joe Vitale and Craig Perrine and… all of our other buddies, mentors, teachers and friends in Texas in November. However I won’t use will power to make that happen. I’ll use the Third Will which you’ll read about below.
Most people struggle with Will Power to accomplish their goals, because they have stories in their heads that make taking action difficult. To me, it’s easy. I have a story that says, “Mr Twenty Twenty is more powerful than a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger is dead. I’ll take the broiled fish instead.”
Now I won’t use will power or “struggle” to get to my goals. I will poke fun at my stories. That will cause a change in my brain chemistry.
So how will I get to my goal?
What I will use is the Third Will, which is Willingness.
“The Third Will, where your true power is is in Willingness. “
“I am willing to eat better every day. I am willing to order the steak salad instead of the cheese burger. I am willing to exercise for 15 minutes a day. I am willing to share this with you.”
Willingness leads to action. Because willingness is demonstrated.
I am willing to write this small article.
It doesn’t require me amping up my will power. It doesn’t require me to wait until I find out, “will he do this, will she do that.”
Enjoy the Day – Take action. You’ll be glad you did!
